Vanessa + Ben // The Flour Factory Wedding

I have known Vanessa and her family for many years so when she emailed me to ask if I would photograph her wedding I was absolutely thrilled. I knew Vanessa would make a fun bride. She is witty and funny and laid-back and cool. It was no surprise she chose my favourite city venue for her and Ben's nuptials because she knows where it's at!

The one thing I remembered about Vanessa was her close friendship with her mum. I'm super close to my mum so I enjoyed seeing her mum Adreana there, keeping tabs on what needed to be done and making sure Vanessa was good to go. As did her bridesmaids and her brothers. It was an all-round awesome family celebration that ended with Vanessa's brother Aaron catching the bouquet.

If I don't get invited to his wedding, I will absolutely be crashing it.

Smiles aplenty, and nothing but love for Vanessa and Ben and their dearest. x

Leila + Michael // The Flour Factory Wedding Reception

Leila and Michael got married in Perth's CBD with a pop-up ceremony one sunny April Saturday. I was lucky to be able to photograph their amazing wedding reception later that evening at The Flour Factory. I freaking love this venue.

To add to my excitement, the illustrious Tiffany Keal Creative Studio was responsible for turning the upstairs space at The Flour Factory into a party zone for the newlyweds with the talents of Fox and Rabbit and Micktric Events, and to add to the gorgeousness a cake by my fave The Cake and I. Of course, being slightly fixated on wedding details, I meandered up early before the couple and their guests arrived to get some photos of the set up. Very, very lovely on the eye.

Leila and Michael's evening kicked off with heartfelt speeches, a feast and a D-floor action to rival the best of them. Great night with a great bunch of people.

Tenille + Ben // Little Creatures Fremantle Wedding

My goodness, what can I say about Tenille and Ben's fabulous Fremantle wedding. It was magnificent from start to finish. Their fur baby Wendy was at church, there are about two million photos of her (of course). The guests were treated to Delish Ice pops after the ceremony. There just happened to be a food festival in High Street (thank you, Fremantle) so naturally we made our way through the crowd to the dance floor in front of the band where Ben started twirling Tenille around in her gorgeous gown. The crowd, who just happened to be sitting there enjoying the festival fares, were treated to this beautiful impromptu display of love. And of course, it ended with a dip that brought woo-hoos and ooohs and aaahs from the festival-goers. From me too. Speeches were laughter-inducing. Their first dance was magic. And I left with the biggest smile on my face.

Tenille and Ben. This was their beautiful, wonderful wedding day.

Also longest blog post ever. Not even sorry.
