Fearless Lovers: Styled Shoot with The Bloom Romantic

As a wedding photographer I get to attend so many wonderfully diverse weddings. Since I am there to document love and the union of two people, how a couple decide to style their wedding doesn't really faze me. I am however always a little thrilled when their day looks and feels very much like them, be it an intimate and simply-styled affair or an opulent grand wedding fit for kings and queens. I've always leaned toward the fearless and unconventional lovers that aren't afraid to do things their way.

When Bec of The Bloom Romantic got in touch with a photo shoot idea she had I was immediately interested. She wanted to put her own quirky touch on traditional wedding photography and challenge gender stereotypes following the recent Yes vote in Australia. This was about celebrating romance, and supporting and respecting all kinds of love.

Without the restriction of boundaries, Bec put together a delicious collection of bold and untraditional florals that were full of style and glamour. All this set against the old-world charm of Fremantle.

This is us, doing things our way.
