Hello, I'm Peggy. I'm a wedding photographer which suits me well since I prefer to be on that side of the camera and I'm seriously crazy about people in love. I'm obsessed with unscripted storytelling, I prefer candid and organic documentation over posed moments. I'm especially fond of meeting new people and have immense respect for those that appreciate photography as an art form. Trusting me with my vision is super important to me, as is ensuring your wedding day is captured in a way that your images will burst your heart wide open with sheer joy.
I live in Perth and spend a fair chunk of my time loitering around Freo sniffing out good coffee.
I don't function without coffee.
I am introverted but love people, so although I love to hibernate and spend a lot of time at home for the most part, I also love a good chinwag when you get me out of the house.
I am fascinated by what makes people tick. I love seeing people enjoy the company of those around them, which is probably why weddings are my bag.
I have been fascinated with capturing moments in photos since I was in high school. I still have boxes and boxes (and boxes) of prints that I have taken over the years.
I played piano as a teen. I dream about taking it up again, which no doubt will happen someday. I can't sing to save myself though.
I have an ever-growing indoor plant obsession.
I have a teenage son, he is my best mate and my pride and joy. We have a brown dog who gets way more attention from my son than I do. He is stinky (the dog that is), and incredibly sweet. Whenever we go away we miss him like mad and ask whoever is minding him to send us lots of photos. They are usually just photos of him sleeping.
I rarely take my cameras out with me unless I am shooting a wedding. It's not because I associate shooting with 'work', it's just that my passion when it comes to photography pretty much revolves around capturing love and the unity of two lovers and the celebrations that come with weddings. Even when I travel I leave my cameras at home.
I try to be kinder every day.
Peak hour traffic makes me twitchy.
I love that I get to do this amazing gig for my work.
I'm one of those crazy photographers that actually loves the editing process. I do all my own editing and at times I feel like I have square eyes from the amount of time I spend staring at the screen. Still, I wouldn't swap it for anything.
If my style resonates with you, I'd love to talk to you about your upcoming nuptials. Please head over to my contact page for more info.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
